NO. The only program that can open a MSWMM (Microsoft Windows Movie Maker) file is the Windows Movie Maker program.
A MSWMM file name extension means the file is still in project form. Until the MSWMM file is exported/published/finished in a Standard viewing format, it can't be read, edited, emailed, uploaded or burned to CD/DVD.

Depends what play is. Linux cannot use windows binarys - you will need the Linux version for this program. If the maker of Play (whatever that may be) hasn't made a Linux version (or a version that suits your build) try lookin around for either a port or a similar program that does the same thing.
