If your Macbook Pro has a DVD/CD drive just insert the game CD in the drive and follow the directions. If you do not have a DVD/CD drive you will need to copy the game to a flash drive or use an external DVD/CD drive to install it. Of course the game will have to be Mac compatible or it will not run on a Mac.
To automatically do something with an inserted disc you need to tell the Mac what you want to do. You use the CDs & DVDs section of System Preferences to tell the Mac what to do when you insert a music CD or DVD and when you insert a blank disc.
The DVD must be a digital copy in order to download to your mac. If you have a DVD or CD with documents, then you should be able to download it to you mac. If it is a DVD with a movie, it will not work because either it's blocked. It will only show links of the dvd. A CD with music can be downloaded into mac through itunes.
