It might be if you have to double click on the file, I'd run a virus scan to be safe.
This is not a virus. Just because your computer isn't operating correctly or you aren't using it correctly doesn't mean it has a virus.
Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click Appearance and Personalization, click Folder Options, click the View tab. Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then click OK.
have you tried to delete the folder? do you have the virus scanner it will help you tell if it is a Trojan virus. what does the folder have in it? did anyone download any unknown type of file to start the folder? hope i helped you! :)
I dont' think so it's a virus. It looks like in folder properties you have the option "open in a new window" checked.
Format

a virus will move itself to any folder on you computer. the only way to find one and to be sure it's a virus, is to use anti virus software and run a full scan on your computer. If a virus is caught by a virus scanner it will be deleted or moved to the Quarantine folder.
You have to look for it, any files that look like they shouldn't belong you might want to delete. It can really be hidden anywhere, but the most common places are the Temp folder, System32, and the Windows folder. Check your Temp folder (Start> Run > %temp%), sometimes a virus can be sitting there in plain sight. Try not to delete the System32 folder though ;).
download this : http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/Virus-Effect-Remover.shtml and use Security permission tab .... locate System volume information folder and click full control.... now you can open system volume information folder like other folder ......
Yes, it can. I know I got a virus from opening junk email :(
If you share a folder with someone else then that means they have access to your computer. A virus will notice that and worm it's way over to both of your systems.
Go to My Computer>C>Program Files and in there find a folder related to your old anti-virus program. I.e. Norton, Symantec, etc. In this folder there should be another folder called Quarantine. Single click on the quarantine file, hold down shift on your keyboard and hit the delete key. This will permanently delete the folder, including all of the quarantined files inside.
