Skype I think
Open Skype. By the top-right, there will be a small clock icon showing history of chats. Also, if you open a new text chat with someone, at the top of the window there is an option to show conversation history.
if you download skype it works, ive had a lot of problems trying to video chat with my girl friend who has a mac.. it works very well, you wont be dissapointed
Yes. The Windows PC can video chat via several applications such as MS Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Skype, Gmail chat, and AOL Instant Messenger. The Mac can video chat through several of these. Between Macs the Apple application iChat is used. This uses the AIM network and can also talk to Windows AOL Instant Messenger users. Both Macs and Widows computers can video chat via SKYPE and Gmail. For Mac, there is an application called aMSN which can video chat to Windows MSN.
Skype and iChat don't talk to each other. In order to chat, if one party is using iChat, the other party can use AIM. Or if one party is using Skype, then the other party can install Skype as well.
No, Facetime is available on Mac and iOS products only. But if you want to video chat with those devices, Skype will work for iOS, Mac, and PCs.
To download Skype for the Mac you need to visit the Skype website and click on the Download Now button. (See links below)
Skype for Mac OS X can be downloaded from the Skype site. (See links below)
In depends on the operating system.Mac OS X:All Skype information is stored in the standard Mac OS X location it is ~/Library/Application Support/Skype// There will be bunch of chatmsgX..X.dbb files. This is the files that have your chat history. The only problem is that that these files are not human formatted, additional programs are required for easy reading. I found two of them, both them works only on Windows OS: skyprand SkypeLogView. Links there added to those applications.
If your chatting with another iPad, IPod or iPhone user that has a camera on that device you can use FaceTime for this. Other apps to use are Skype and Tango if you want to chat with someone that is using a webcam on their computer, typically a Windows PC. I'm not familiar with Mac's or MacBooks so I am not sure how those work.
You can actually download Windows Live Messenger for Mac here: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/messenger/default.mspx
To get Skype for free on a Mac go to the Skype website and click on the Get Skype button. (See links below)
