The music may be being added to an iTunes Music folder but iTunes is not finding that folder. In iTunes Preferences select the Advanced tab and click on the Change button to tell iTunes where the iTunes Music folder is located.

Well if you bought it from the itunes store on itunes than it should go to your downloads and after its done downloading it should go to your itunes automaticly. If you deleted it from your itunes you cant get it back unless you have the song in a document.

If you bought it then reinstall it through Itunes. If you downloaded it and didn't back-up, re-download it.
You can convert it back at the airport before you go but will lose some value doing it their. Some currency is harder to change but then it would be just to spend it. Buy souvenirs for family and friends to avoid the hassle of changing back and getting short changed. Donate it to charity. UNICEF has a "Change for Good" program where you can donate your leftover currency to help children around the world who are less fortunate.
