A BMW dealer can find out the code for you. They'll look at the serial # or some kind of # on the back of the stereo and find the code for it. They should do it for free last time I checked.
You need to go to the BMW dealership and buy a USB adapter. This adapter has a USB and AUX input and a ipod adapter. This way you can control the ipod from your stereo and from the wheel.
They're all wired for ISO, so just get the adapter for your brand of stereo to ISO instead.

every BMW stereo should have been seupplied with a radio code card, if this is not available, then the full serial number of the stereo is required, preferably along with the chassis number of the vehicle it is from. if this is supplied to me i could help? Adamski (Adam.francis@snowsgroup.co.UK)
Schematics for a BMW E36 stereo amplifier can typically be found in service manuals, repair guides, or automotive forums dedicated to BMW enthusiasts. Websites like BMW forums, eBay, or specialized repair sites may also offer downloadable manuals or schematics. Additionally, BMW dealerships might provide technical documentation upon request. Always ensure to verify the source for accuracy and reliability.
Contact the BMW dealer. Give them your name and the VIN number and as long as the car is registered in your name, they will send you the radio code.
To get this code you will need to call a BMW dealership with the vin number and the serial number off the sticker on the radio.
