Assuming you are using the default gnome 3 desktop, go to settings and select network settings. There should be a tab called as 'general'.
In that check 'automatically connect to this network'..
Then go to the 'Ipv4 settings' and 'Ipv6 settings' tab and set
: Method - automatic.
Do this in both the tabs and click on save . This should work..

Adding detail to my question... I have a laptop that has full wifi, and another with no wifi, and it cannot use an adapter... Is there any way I can connect wirelessly to a spare router I have, as well as my internet enabled router (I have a USB WiFi adapter I could use to make 2 connections), and then connect the laptop with no wifi to the spare router via ethernet to get internet? The laptop with wifi is windows 8, and the other is fedora 19. Thanks!
