How do you get your Gateway address if you have Vista?

This is a simple procedure, I will guide you through it.

First go to START -- All Programs -- Accessories, then hover your mouse over "Command Prompt," and click the right mouse button. Choose "Run as Administrator" from the list.

With the command prompt window open, type IPCONFIG

The command should show you output like this:

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : my.internet.net

Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : c280::640b:abb5:4447:490a%7

IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.100

Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0

>>Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1 <<

The one I've marked is your default gateway.
