Use Recycle bin; if you already emptied that or its not there, then there is no other way.

If you haven't rebooted yet THERE IS A WAY, you can use a free third party software like "undelete".
-----------------------------------------
Rebooting has nothing to do with it. The more you use the drive after deleting the file, the more likely the file will not be recoverable. When you 'delete' a file the space just gets marked as 'available' for being overwritten. The file actually stays out there until another file gets written over the top of it. If you Google for 'undelete' you will find plenty of programs that are able to attempt a recovery. I'm not going to promote a specific one here.
I have managed to recover files for people. Just be warned that the file might only be partially recoverable (like the top half of a jpeg photo with the rest corrupted) and that the partially recovered file might not even be readable/viewable. Also these recovery programs should be installed to a separate drive and the files you are trying to recover should also get saved to a different drive. That way you won't ruin the file you are trying to recover.
Seagate hard drive recovery will restore files which were not backed up or deleted. One can download the free trial and run the program to restore files.
When you delete your data off of a hard drive such as photos or file, they are not actually deleted from the hard drive. The hard drive marks the space where those files were stored as available or free and new data can overwrite your deleted photos or files. There is a tool called Nice To Recover for MacOS which you are able to download and it will help to restore those deleted files or folders.

Data file recovery retrieves deleted files by scanning the hard drive. When a file is deleted, its data is still capable of being recovered as long as the space it was in on the hard drive has not been rewritten.
Files that have been deleted from the computer by the user can either be deleted from the hard drive directly or sent to the recycling bin. Files that are detected by your anti-virus software are often sent to a quarantine folder on your hard drive.
Restoring files simply takes the deleted file and places it back in its original area. Because file on a hard drive are never fully lost. Reinstalling deletes the old files and replaces them new.
Highlight the files to be deleted, then click 'Delete' on your keyboard.
Restoring files on a hard drive can always be done as long as the hard drive itself isn't irrepairably damaged physically. If you are able to replace that hard drive with the hard drive in another computer and boot it up, you should be able to roll back the hard drive to a different restore point where everything was accessable.
First, they would not be on the "D" drive. The "D" drive is a small partition created when Windows is installed and only contains the basic information of Windows. Files that are :deleted, aren't really deleted until at sometime the area that they take up on the hard drive are written over. There is some software out there, Active UNDelete is one, that can help recover files that nave been deleted IF they are still intact on the hard drive.
Any time that a file is deleted from a hard drive, it is not erased. What is erased is the bit of information that points to the location of the file on the hard drive. The file is flagged as "not there" and ignored by the system
