To do a screen capture and save to dektop:
Apple key-shift-3 captures whole screen and saves image to desktop
Apple key-shift-4 Allows you to select a section of screen to save to desktop
To save to clipboard instead of save to desktop as an image, so you can paste into a document add the control key as well to either of those combinations.
e.g.
Apple key-control-shift-3 - saves whole screen to clipboard so can paste elsewhere.
To print the screen on your Dell laptop without going to the clipboard just use the Snipping tool.
Try ALT+CTRL+PRINT SCREEN
easy way to do this would be to use a program and take a picture of it such as Jing and print it or if you would rather not download anything on your keyboard you will have a prt sc button press this go to the Paint program paste it there and print it out. I advise to hold down a SHIFT key and press PRINT SCRN key once. This copies your screen to your CLIPBOARD. Open PAINT (Start/Accessories). Paste (the clipboard content) into PAINT. Use Paint to print to your printer. This is for MS operating systems .. NOT for MAC computers.
The print screen button on your computer takes a still screenshot and pastes it to your clipboard. Whenever you open up any application after hitting your print screen key, you can paste the image of your computer screen.
Use the [Print Screen] key to capture the entire desktop or [CTRL]+[Print Screen] to capture the current window. The snapshot is placed on the clipboard which can then be pasted into any suitable image editor.
press the "print screen" button. Now the image is saved in your clipboard so you can paste it into your favorite image editor.
On an IBM PC type of computer, this is done by pressing the "Print Scrn" key on the keyboard. Normally, this does not send the screen display directly to the printer, but copies the screen to a temporary storage area called the "clipboard". One would then start up a graphics program to import the clipboard contents, save the image as a file and send it to one's printer if hard copy is needed.
you can open document then press print screen on keyboard, this will place image on clipboard, then open image editor and paste it
You can press Print Screen key or PrtScn/SysRq to screengrab just your browser window or hold down the ALT key and then press the Print Screen key or PrtScn/SysRq to select your whole screen. Now your image is saved in the clipboard.
Press the Print Screen key and youu will get the full screen screenshot of the contents of the screen saved to the clipboard(Windows.) Going to a program that does graphics(many freely available) and and pressing Ctrl + V will paste it there so that it can be saved or manipulated.
Use the Print Screen key. This copies the entire desktop to the clipboard (CTRL + Print Screen copies just the active window). From there you can paste the image into any image editor (such as Microsoft Paint) and save the image as a bitmap. Finally, drag and drop the saved bitmap into Microsoft Word.
I'm not quite sure which device you are talking about, so here are the methods for several of them. Windows: Press the key labeled 'Print Screen' or anything similar to that, then the screenshot will be copied to your clipboard and you can paste it into a program such as Paint. If you don't have a Print Screen key then search for a screen capturing application for windows. Mac: Command + Shift + 3, the screenshot should then be saved on your Desktop. You can use the 'Grab' application more even more features. iPod touch: Press the Home and Sleep/Wake (the button on the top) buttons simultaneously. It will appear in your Camera Roll.
