Well if you're using the latest version of Internet Explorer, then you can press CTRL-SHIFT-P to open 'InPrivate Browsing' where it doesn't save your browsing history or cookies, or you can delete your browsing history after doing your dirty work through 'Tools'. I'm not sure on other browsers.

No, you still have cookies. If you went on a "dirty" site and your under 18 you CAN get caught when you enter one of those sites they store your ip adress. If you want a way to not have an web history use Inprivate Browsing on Internet Explorer

It saves nothing, except for bookmarks (if you make a new bookmark, it is still there after you quit Private Browsing) and downloads. This applies to Firefox, I know not about IE's inprivate features.
no you shouldn't. if your owrried about sites showing up on internet explorer 8 do this: press alt+ctrl+p. this enters inprivate browsing, in this nothing is saved. in google chrome use "incognito mode" in mac i dont have a clue XD =)
