A mnemonic is a shorthand concept to aid recall of a longer one, for example, the acronym HOMES to remember the names of the Great Lakes (Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Eire, Superior). Do you want to remember the word "fate"? It seems to be about as short as it can get already.

Now FATE could be a mnemonic for something else.
