You don't without frying your engine computer. If the sensor is bad, replace it. $30 for a sensor, $1800 for a computer. You do the math.
A cam sensor tells the computer when number one compression stroke is happening, the crank sensor tell the computer when to fire the sparkplugs.
It is possible as the signal from the oxygen sensor is sent to the computer
there is no need to reset the computer for an 02 sensor.
A simple test to know if the car computer is working.?æ Identify your sensor and turn on the ignition to see if the sensor confirms the car's computer.
The speedometer signal comes from the abs computer via the rear axle speed sensor. That is the sensor on the top center of the rear axle. The speedometer signal comes from the abs computer via the rear axle speed sensor. That is the sensor on the top center of the rear axle.
Out of gas, failed fuel pump, alternator, timing belt, crank sensor, cam sensor, computer, etc.Out of gas, failed fuel pump, alternator, timing belt, crank sensor, cam sensor, computer, etc.
It's a sensor that tells the computer if there is a rod knock in your engine.
Sounds like the sensor is bad. The sensor may be sending bad data to the computer. The computer assumes that the information is correct. The computer then uses this bad information to calculate fuel delivery, etc., therefore causing poor performance. By unplugging the sensor, computer receives no data, the computer relies on data from other inputs/stored data to calculate proper output values. Try replacing the sensor. Hope this helps. The Turbine Input Sensor is used by the computer to determine transmission speed. There are several back-up sensors that the computer can use in the event the Turbine Sensor fails. A failed sensor will trip the Check Engine light, but the car will still run and you can still drive it.
It is the downstream sensor on one side of the engine that tells the computer how well the catalytic converters are working.
The output speed sensor circuit runs from the sensor, on the driver side of the transmission, to the engine computer. The computer is under the hood on the passenger side firewall.
