Yes, you can.I have both the 2.6 version of Windows Movie Maker and Windows Live Movie Maker.
Nope. Can't do that in Windows Live Movie Maker (for Windows 7). Windows Live is a stripped-down version of the Vista 2.6 Movie Maker. Not a lot of features or functionality with Windows Live version. Sorry.
Yes, you can.I have both the 2.6 version of Windows Movie Maker and Windows Live Movie Maker.
You can't do that in Windows Movie Maker, Live Movie Maker or any other version.
If you are using Windows 7 Movie Maker, it is a Windows Live Essentials version of the Windows Movie Maker 2.6 version. It is a 'stripped-down' version with limited features and functionality. Bottom line - you can't do much with Windows Live Movie Maker, including insertion of WordArt.
No. Can't do that with Windows Live Movie Maker (2010 version at least. I am not sure about the 2011 version since I haven't downloaded it yet). In any case, you have to do your narrations on the 2.6 version of Windows Movie Maker or on an external audio editor before you can import/use it in Windows Live Movie Maker.
No. The latest version of Windows Movie Maker is v2.6 for Vista. However, there is an alternative download (for Vista and Windows 7 users) of Movie Maker called: Windows Live Movie Maker.
Windows 7 Movie Maker is actually Windows Live Movie Maker which is a stripped-down version of Windows Movie Maker 2.6. It does not have all the features and functionality of the 2.6 version... including a Timeline.
You can download and install Windows Live Movie Maker (which is the newest version out). However, that version does not have all the features and functionality of the 2.6 version.
You can record on Windows Movie Maker by using the Narration feature. (Note: There is no Narration feature in the Windows Live Movie Maker version).
Windows 7 version of Windows Movie Maker is actually an Essentials program called Windows Live Movie Maker. It is a stripped-down version of Windows Movie Maker v2.6. Though it doesn't have all the functionality and features of its predecessor, Windows Live Movie Maker does have Title and Credits, which is where you will find a box to place text into.
Yes, Windows Live Movie Maker can import video too. Great little program to download in addition to your current Windows Movie Maker version.
