Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin) will include the following programs by default:
ndiswrapper is not included by default in the LiveCD, but it is available from the repositories.
If you have installed ubuntu with windows you uninstall it in the add remove programs.
it should come into the system by default. if you are having trouble trying to use it then you could go to the help program of the operating system it should help you there.

I am not aware of any internal hard drives that come preloaded with any operating system, let alone Ubuntu. Ubuntu isn't much of a hassle to install, anyway. In certain countries Dell sells computers with Ubuntu (and Firefox) pre-installed on the internal hard drive, some other companies may do so to.
Microsoft Word
Java doesn't really come with a set of icons. If you're referring to the coffee cup logo that's used for the actual Java programs, then those seem to be embedded in the executable files themselves.
Open source (free) software (Operating Systems based on the Linux kernel: Ubuntu, Linux Mint (to name my two favourites) are, in my opinion, the best OS software to use. Both come with many free application software programs for the downloading off the internet.
If you purchase a MacBook Pro from an Apple Store, Authorized Reseller, Premium Authorized Reseller or the Apple Online Store; the MacBook Pro will come with default programs installed. Of course, the latest Mac OS released to public will come installed. The default programs installed include: Address Book, Automator, Calculator, Chess, Comic Life, Dashboard, Dictionary, DVD Player, Exposé, Face Time, Font Book, Front Row, Garageband, iCal, iChat, iDVD, Image Capture, iMovie HD, iPhoto, iSync, iTunes, iWeb, iWork (Keynote, Numbers, Pages), Mac Mail, Maps, Photo Booth, Preview, QuickTime Player, Safari, Spaces, Stickies, TextEdit, Time Machine. When you purchase a MacBook Pro, the programs may vary from those listed. Programs and such are subject to change with the addition of newer operating systems, etc.
Usually it is for reminding you to come back and view the email. Most programs will have the ability to save the message in a separate folder. There is probably a default save mail folder or you can create many different folders.
HP netbooks that come with Linux use a customized version of Ubuntu known as "Mi."
