Only the iPad Wifi + 3G Model needs a Sim.

NO
If you have a 3G iPad, you will need a SIM card in every country. Wi-Fi only iPads don't have a sim card slot.
Yes. That is where the 3G account and provider information is stored. Micro sim is for ipad or mobile?
No, the iPad with 3G it is not SIM-Unlocked for multiple carriers, it is locked to AT&T. You may use Spirit jailbreak to unlock it and do as you wish with SIM unlock and so forth.
Push the SIM removal tool into the iPad on a vertical angle. The SIM tray should pop out, then pull it completely. A diagram can be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5163
Yes, the iPad model A1397, which is the iPad 3rd generation (Wi-Fi + Cellular), does have a SIM card slot. This allows it to connect to cellular networks for internet access in addition to Wi-Fi. However, the Wi-Fi-only variant of the iPad 3rd generation does not include a SIM card slot.
The iPad 1 does not have a SIM card slot, as it is only available in a Wi-Fi model. However, the iPad 1 3G model includes a SIM card slot located on the right side of the device, near the top edge. To access the SIM card slot, you would need to use a SIM card eject tool or a small paperclip to gently push into the pinhole next to the slot.
There is only a SIM card slot in the 3G and 4G LTE iPads. The WiFi only models don't have a mobile radio, so a SIM slot would be useless.
MicroSIM cards are supported in the 4G LTE models of the New iPad.
