The older parallel port were mainly located near the area where the on board devises like keyboard and Ps/ 2 or at Keyboards would plugin .. Very near to the communication prt plug.. look at the image in the related link below and you see basic layout of where it would be located at.

Or just look for Male 25 pin Db Connector Shaped slightly different but similar to Superman symbol.
