The very first time you save, you will get the Save As dialog box. After that, as long as you use the Save option from the File menu, as opposed to the Save As option, you will not see the Save As dialog box again. You can also do it by pressing and holding the Ctrl key and pressing S, or by clicking on the icon on the toolbar. Only if you want to change the way you are saving it, like using a different name or a different location, do you need to use Save As again.
Save As
In MS Word, Save As is used to change the file name, format & location.'Save' & 'Save As' perform same job that is to save a document. However, the way they achieve this is slightly different. Save function saves the document using same file name, format and location. However, Save As function opens a dialogue box in which the user can change the name of document, format & location.Note: Save function also opens a dialog box when you try to save a new document.
To display the Save As dialog box without showing the Save As backstage area, you can use the keyboard shortcut F12 in Microsoft Office applications like Word and Excel. This command directly opens the Save As dialog, allowing you to choose the file location and format without navigating through the backstage view.
whichever destination you chose when you were making the library. right click on the library and click properties to find out were it is linked
The Save As opens for the first time, because you are having to specify the name, the location and the type of file, like you are doing a Save As. After that, unless you want to change some aspect of how it is being saved, then just a normal save will do.
When you work with open document which already have been saved, you can press Save and this will save changes without Save As dialog in Explorer, any time you press Save As will open Save As dialog in Explorer.
To save a PDF file with QTP (QuickTest Professional, now known as UFT - Unified Functional Testing), you typically need to interact with the application that generates the PDF. The mouse-pointer dialog box is used to change the appearance of the mouse-pointer. In the control panel, open the dialog box by clicking printers and other hardware. Click the pointers tab to display pointer shapes. Choose the shape you want, and select save.
