I will try to answer this. If you mean codes in the on board computer, it takes 100 miles of driving to make the computer readable if the battery has been disconnected for some time or the error codes have been erased from the ECU (computer).
Simply pulling the battery cables will not work on this minivan, you must reset the codes with a code scanner. I disconnected the battery cables for 24 hours and still had to borrow a snap-on scanner from a friend to read and reset the codes.
In general, since you replaced the engine, you most likely disconnected the battery - and that should have reset the codes. If you are getting new codes, something is wrong. Perhaps you have a wiring error or a disconnected sensor. Perhaps one of the sensors is bad.
alot of times the computer needs to be reset (or codes cleared)...try this, disconnect the battery leave it off 10 minutes reconnect and see if this cleared it.......if not, do same thing, but when reconnected turn motor on and off, about five times.......should reset if not will have to go to shop and have codes cleared..........if a shop disconnected battery for other repairs they should (if this doesn't fix for you) clear the codes for you.........
You do not have to reset anything. but you should have the battery disconnected. and once you reconnect the battery it will reset your computer.
Disconnect the battery, keep it disconnected for five to 20 minutes, reconnect the battery.
You can reset codes with a scan tool or by unhooking the battery.
I think you've asked this before...The computer has to be reset by the dealer. Sorry bout your luck buddy. Good Luck from now on!!!
KAM is reset in a vehicle by a diagnostic tool or when the battery is disconnected for more than 5 minutes.
You need a OBD scan tool to clear any codes on this car.
onlyhave tne negative wire on it for about 5min
You can reset the computer in your H2 Hummer by disconnecting the ground cable from the battery. Leaves the battery cable disconnected for 10 seconds, and reconnect.
