Common deterioration of lamp holders and their wire connections includes corrosion, which can result from moisture exposure, leading to poor conductivity and potential electrical failures. Overheating may cause the plastic components of the lamp holder to become brittle or melt, affecting the integrity of the connection. Additionally, wear and tear from frequent bulb changes can loosen connections, increasing the risk of arcing or short circuits. Regular inspections and maintenance can help identify and address these issues before they lead to more significant problems.
