the lens can't read your disc. either the lens is dirty or the disc is dirty and/or scratched. for the lens, they have a special cd lens cleaning cd. for the cd, if it is just dirty, you can clean it with a soft paper towel and some glass cleaner, or mild soap and water. if it is scratched, there is also disc cleaning kits that do a decent job of removing scratches. if the scratches are too severe however, they will not come out

Clean the disc with a material made for it. Normally a softer cloth you may buy at a Wal-mart.Be sure that no dust or any obstruction is covering the lens of the player you are trying to use - use your breath to blow away dust. NEVER TOUCH THE LENS!
