To serve 35 people, you generally need about 1/4 to 1/3 cup of coleslaw per person, depending on whether it's a side dish or part of a larger meal. This means you would need approximately 8 to 12 cups of coleslaw in total. It's a good idea to prepare a little extra, so aiming for around 12-15 cups should ensure everyone has enough.
I would use 25 pounds of cabbage for 100 people
An average serving would be between 4 to 6 ounces, you will need about 90 pounds. how much cabbage and mayonaise will i need to buy?
Between 25-30 large heads of cabbage.
Approximately 9 lbs. Thanks, Cathy
I'd go with 15. Most people would consider 4 ounces (1/2 cup) an adequate serving.
A general guideline for serving cole slaw is about 2 ounces per person as a side dish. For 125 people, you would need approximately 15.6 pounds of cole slaw (125 people x 2 ounces = 250 ounces, then divide by 16 to convert to pounds). It’s a good idea to round up to ensure you have enough, so preparing around 16-18 pounds would be advisable.
Hi there, I've not made this, but I've just been doing some research so here we go: 22.5lb cabbage (shredded) 3lb carrots (shredded) 1.5lb onion (finely chopped) 4 qts mayonnaise 3.75 cups sugar (?) 4.5 cups milk carroway seeds to taste (a tablespoon or so) mustard seeds to taste (ditto) salt and pepper to taste mix all the latter ingredients together and pour over the veggies and mix it all up! I'm not American but these are American amounts, but I think a quick search on Google will give you a conversion thingy. Good luck!

Last week, I made a big 10 cup or 80 oz container of cole slaw all with only a half head af cabbage. the entire head weighed 5lbs. i know this because i weighed it at the grocery store. so if all of your guests eat 1 cup of cole slaw then that means you can serve 20 with 5lbs of raw cabbage. so... 1 large head of cabbage (5lbs) = 20 cups of prepared cole slaw (20 servings) i would get 25lbs of cabbage (5 large heads).
Slaw isn't a verb and so doesn't have a past participle.
