It is generally safe to eat frozen salmon after 2 years if it has been stored properly in a freezer at 0F (-18C) or below. However, the quality and taste of the salmon may deteriorate over time. It is recommended to check for any signs of freezer burn or off odors before consuming.
no eating frozen fish is not good for you, any kind!
Most fish will remain safe to eat for up to six months. Fish that are fatty, such as salmon and tuna should keep for 2-3 months when frozen. Fish that are lean, such as cod and catfish will keep for up to 6 months when frozen. It would not be safe to eat fish that was frozen for 2 years because it would most likely be spoiled and could cause food poisoning.

Safe - quite probably Tasty - probably not.
Please, has anyone else done this? My daughter put a can of salmon in our deep freeze with our frozen juice and I didn't notice until the next week. I phoned the company and they said to decide for yourself so I don't want to throw it out, but will if it is unsafe to eat. Thanks
The recommended internal temperature for cooked salmon to ensure it is safe to eat is 145F (63C).
Salmon should be cooked to an internal temperature of 145F (63C) to ensure it is safe to eat.
Microbiologically, it would be safe. Palatability is another question.
