Please, has anyone else done this? My daughter put a can of salmon in our deep freeze with our frozen juice and I didn't notice until the next week. I phoned the company and they said to decide for yourself so I don't want to throw it out, but will if it is unsafe to eat. Thanks
take it out of the freezer put it in a glass dish and wait
It is generally safe to eat frozen salmon after 2 years if it has been stored properly in a freezer at 0F (-18C) or below. However, the quality and taste of the salmon may deteriorate over time. It is recommended to check for any signs of freezer burn or off odors before consuming.
Whether canned salmon is wild or farmed depends on where the fresh salmon comes from. Some canned salmon is wild caught, some is farmed. The label on the can should say which.

Frozen salmon can last in your freezer for about 8 months. The colder your freezer, the longer you can hold your fish. Most house freezers are around 0 degrees F. In commercial freezers at -10 degrees keep fish fresher longer; frozen fillets last 12 months or more. Isaac
