You can use a mixture of baking soda and an acid like cream of tartar or lemon juice as a substitute for baking powder.
NO NO NO NO NO that will just make it worse the only thing you can use is baking soda and if you dont have any that sucks 4 u
no because bi carbonate and baking powder dont go together
you dont
i dont know bou i do know that i am a former chef and Serena is on the right track, if you do not have cream of tarter, use 1 teaspoon of soda and 2 teaspoons of cornstarch, all baking powder is 60% baking soda, 20% cream of tarter and 20% cornstarch. So you can make you own or use what you have, if you use straight soda then use one 1/3 of the recipes requested amount.
i dont know you lose
You Could but i Dont Recommend You To do it Becasue i Dont think Your Hair and Scalp would be very Healthy, Baking Powder Scatterd ontop It As i Say, I Dont see why You Cant, But i Dont No if it Would affect Dandruf So Give it a TRY !!!!!! yes, but it can bleach ur hair and damage it
i personly dont think it has a solubility
because you either have a cruddy recipe or can't cook. put more baking powder in.
no, these are two entirely different ingredients. Bakin powder is used to make batter rise, for instance in cakes as where baking soda is used to neutralize ingredients like salt and vinigar in certain recipes and also to enhance flavour.
Definitely not. All purpose flour is also called plain flour, If you are planning to substitute self raising flour for plain flour, put a teaspoon of baking powder in it as well. DONT substitute plain flour for self raising flour
I should say that I dont know. sorry
An alternative name (and the preferred modern nomenclature) is sodium hydrogen carbonate.Perhaps, though, you were looking for the common name, which is "baking soda" (not baking powder, that's sodium carbonate).
