i dont know bou i do know that i am a former chef and Serena is on the right track, if you do not have cream of tarter, use 1 teaspoon of soda and 2 teaspoons of cornstarch, all baking powder is 60% baking soda, 20% cream of tarter and 20% cornstarch.

So you can make you own or use what you have, if you use straight soda then use one 1/3 of the recipes requested amount.
