Hey there!
Mostly for my family we ate alot of standard Louisiana fare. Gumbo, crawfish boils, pocket pies (like a savory turnover). If we caught it we ate it; fish, shrimp, crabs, crawfish, ducks, wild chickens, nutria, gators... My granmama used to go and find all sorts of wonderful wild veggies, greens and mushrooms to cook with. We also always had a garden containing peppers, corn, tomatoes, peas, beans, Okra, onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, radishes, herbs of all sorts as well...
The only things I can really think of that we ate that "standard" people didnt were grape dumplings, fry bread, and also other variations of dishes that are now common food (gumbo for instance) but were actually Houma dishes to begin with, the only difference is way less ingredients and a way simpler preparation. Hope this helps! =)
The mainstay of the Panda's diet is bamboo.
The Mohawk Indians typically ate two to three meals a day, depending on the season and availability of food. Their diet consisted of a variety of foods, including corn, beans, and squash, often referred to as the "Three Sisters." Meals were usually communal, reflecting their strong social bonds and traditions. The timing and frequency of meals could vary based on hunting, fishing, and agricultural activities.

The Houma Tribe, located in Louisiana, traditionally relied on a diet that included fish, shellfish, and wild game, such as deer and rabbits. They also gathered plants, nuts, and berries, utilizing the rich natural resources of their wetland environment. Additionally, they cultivated crops like corn, beans, and squash, which were staples in their diet. Their food practices reflected a deep connection to the land and waterways surrounding them.
