Check the batteries and connections. If it still won't work go to the dollar shop and get another.
When you cleaned the torch did you also put a fresh, clean battery in the torch and test the bulb to see if tht works as well

Use a torch to heat up the bolt and thread before you loosen it. This way you wont break the bolt, which I accidentally did on mine and gave my self an extra 2 hours of work.

Batteries are inserted negative to positive and the battery contains electricity which produces heat and light therefore making the battery makes the torch work
