they first started out on the Missouri river the problems were mosquito's, native attacks, dead forest in the water, and when they get to the rocky mtns with Sacajawea they suffer food and water. they slumbered with the nez perce Indian's and then paddled off to the west they were now going down stream on the Colombian river. this journey was historical because they let a girl and a slave vote where to stay when they got to the Pacific Ocean on the west coast side of the USA. :))) enjoy
