i wouldn't be trying to lose 45 pounds if i was 11. and anyway i think you'd probably gain weight in muscle either that or it would take quite a while to lose 45 pounds
This information is easy to find. It's on every nutrition information label (as least in the US). 1 gram of carbohydrate = 4 calories 1 gram of protein = 4 calories 1 gram of fat = 9 calories
A pound of butter has more calories than a pound of meat. This is because for every gram of fat, there are 9 calories. For meat, every gram of protein has 4 calories.
Well depending on your age, your basal metabolic rate could vary from 1500-1800 calories a day. The basal metabolic rate is the amount of calories your body needs to stay alive just resting. Walking 3-4 miles in 45 minutes is pretty fast so you're probably burning 100 calories per mile. That means you have a calorie deficit of 500-800 calories every day. There are approximately 3555 calories in a pound so you'll lose around a pound of fat every 5-6 days if you continue to eat 1400 calories and walk 3-4 miles in 45 minutes every day. Just step on the scale in the morning and record your weight every day. 40 grams of protein is a pretty low amount by the way, I'd recommend getting at least 80 to keep muscle loss at a minimum. Protein also requires more calories to break down and every little bit helps.
If you are eating enough calories for your weight/activity level, then you will undoubtedly get enough protein; because (complete) protein is found in every food.
Every morning.
1 gram of protein is equivalent to about 4 calories.
IHOP, every morning :-)
There are 4 calories for every gram of carbohydrates. There is also 4 calories per gram of protein and 9 calories per gram of fat. Finally there are 7 calories per gram of alcohol.
Every gram of carbohydrate has 4 calories, so 20 grams of carbohydrates would be 80 calories. But you also have to take into account the amount of protein and fat grams in the food, as well. Protein has the same amount of calories as carbohydrates (4 calories per gram) and fat has 9 calories per gram.
Not necessarily. To lose weight you must use, or burn, more calories than you take in.
First, like every diet, cut your calories. Increase your protein, especially and avoid fat. Walk some every day. I, personally, take two energy drinks each day to keep my metabolism fired up.
It takes 5,000 Calories to maintain your body weight, when bulking, counting the working out you do, so you still burn a little calories, but the majority stores, and you eventually burn the fat out and stack mucle, especially with whey protein, or Iso protein. also include 1.5Xyour body weight in protein, I.E: A 150 Lb boy should get 200 Grams protein every 48 hours, minimal. Helps this helps, lol.
