If you want to remain healthy, don't plan to lose more than 2 or 3 pounds per week.

Do that by eating a healthy diet and some good, moderate exercise. Don't go all out with the weights, but don't sit on your backside all day either.

Do NORMAL 11 year old activities; run, bicycle, swim... have fun and stay busy. Eat a low fat, low carb diet (carbs = sugar, starch) and eat at least 6 times a day; three main meals and 3 snacks. The snacks should be fruit, such as melon, apples or Oranges. The main meals should be lean meats, fruits and veggies with no added sugar or fat. Avoid gravies, butter, fried foods... you need a little oil in your diet but try to stick with olive oil. You can get some of the oil from fish.

And drink plenty of water, at least 8 glasses per day. Not soda. Not even Diet Soda (but you can have a little diet soda if you still have the 8 or more glasses of water)

If you do these things the weight loss will be natural.
