High energy foods include Brown Rice, Sweet Potatoes, Honey, Some fruits, such as Banana, Apple, Oranges, some vegetable's such as Spinach, most types of beans, Nuts, such as Almonds, but most nuts are very good for energy, minerals and vitamins. Also Fish, such as salmon, and yogurt and Eggs. Greek yogurt is best in my opinion. It is well known by the medical community that most vitamin's are only absorbed in the presence of amino acids, and other things that are found in foods. So if you venture on this path, and combine this diet with exercise, and limit sugars, breads, and fats, your health and energy will soon mushroom lie a nuclear explosion in your body. Now, what will you do wit hall that energy once you have it?
The primary nutrients that yield energy are carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Carbohydrates provide approximately 4 calories per gram, while proteins also yield about 4 calories per gram. Fats are the most energy-dense, delivering around 9 calories per gram. Alcohol can also provide energy, yielding about 7 calories per gram.
Carbohydrates, fats and proteins yield the energy the body needs to fuel its various activities. Vitamins, minerals and water do NOT yield energy, but perform other tasks such as maintenance and repair.
