They're both considered to contain a lot of protein and nuts have lots of healthy fats (although some unhealthy fat in the form of Omega 6 as well). However, some might argue that beans and peanuts (which are not actually nuts, but legumes), being legumes, aren't very healthful. Many people have Allergies to these foods and more still have a sensitivity to beans and legumes that they don't even know about. Research diets like paleo, primal, traditional food and grain-free for more information. There is a lot of controversy surrounding all of these diets, but they also work for many people.
