150 miles
Just within California, south and east of Yosemite NP you'll find Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Death Valley, and Joshua Tree. There are several national parks east of California that are also south of Yosemite.
205 miles.
According to the NPS, over 94% of the land within Yosemite NP is designated wildereness.
Lassen Volcano National Park is about 350 miles away from Yosemite National Park. I would recommend visiting these two brilliant parks on different days as both have a lot to offer.
Not in the Valley itself. There are in-holdings at Foresta within the NP, and just a few miles from the Valley.
Yes, central California. Depends what you mean by "attack." Bears raiding areas of human food, particularly when careless tourists make it easy to be taken, are a common occurence. I can find no news about a bear causing injury to a human within Yosemite NP, within the last month or so.
A problem is 'in NP' if there exists a polynomial time complexity algorithm which runs on a Non-Deterministic Turing Machine that solves it. A problem is 'NP Hard' if all problems in NP can be reduced to it in polynomial time, or equivalently if there is a polynomial-time reduction of any other NP Hard problem to it. A problem is NP Complete if it is both in NP and NP hard.
Joshua tree NP is in Twentynine Palms California , so if you are in CA you don't pass through another state.
