Metaphorical witch hunts in the U.S. today often refer to intense social and political campaigns against individuals or groups perceived as deviating from accepted norms or beliefs. These can manifest in various forms, including cancel culture, where public figures face backlash for controversial statements or actions. Such hunts tend to polarize society, fueling division and stifling open dialogue, as people become fearful of expressing dissenting opinions. Ultimately, these metaphorical hunts reflect broader cultural struggles over identity, values, and accountability in contemporary society.
Propoganda was the main method used to deter communism in America. 'Witch Hunts' was also notoriously used to discourage people from Communism ideals.
Witch trials tell us a lot about human psychology, and about the foolishness and evil that results from ignorance and superstition.
The witch hunts reveal deep-seated fears, prejudices, and the human tendency to scapegoat others during times of crisis. They highlight how societal pressures and a desire for conformity can lead individuals to betray their morals and neighbors. Additionally, these events expose the consequences of unchecked power and the vulnerability of marginalized groups. Ultimately, they serve as a cautionary tale about the darker aspects of human nature and the fragility of justice in the face of hysteria.

We don't go on witch hunts for them, but as long as they don't do something like try to "celebrate gay pride" then it is okay if they just wanna stay away from us. The thing that sets us off the most is usually when someone tries to claim that it is a "disease" or something that they were born with and they have no power over, witch is a total lie. It is only brought on by outside influences or a very secluded childhood. Not by birth.
