A broomstick. the reasons withches would enchant broomsticks is because there small light wieght simple house tools they could hide or put anywhere and no one would expect it to do anything magical cause it's just a broom.

The correct term for a "witches" broom is Besom.

The use of a besom was common in the "burning times" because it was an innocuous, common place item that could "hide" a staff or wand. (Either or both of which could have you accused, tried, tortured and burned for witchcraft)

It was also associated most commonly with women who tended to make up the larger portion of the population of assumed "witches".
