Green Day is the name of the band that wrote/sang the 2005 song that

is different from the more historically famous song of the same title.

The more historically famous song was probably made most popular by Tony Bennett back in the 1950s and has been a signature song. He rerecorded it in 1990 and he recorded it as a duet with Sting in 2007.

Diana Krall did it on her Grammy nominated tribute album, All for You: A Dedication to the Nat King Cole Trio, in 1996 and rearranged it for her 2006 album/iTunes, From This Moment On.

The older one apparently originated from the movie Moulin Rouge (1934).
