Depending on which state you reside in the answer will be entirely different. In New York State, and Rhode Island where I attended Culinary School at Johnson and Wales, the answer to that is... yes and no. In any professional work environment where contact with an item to be purchased and consumed, it is required that employees wash their hands before returning to work. In New York, it has been determined that currency is not a method of transmitting disease or infection, and therefor, it is not required to change gloves or wash hands between contact with currency and food. In addition, coffee is served at well over 140 degrees, which the federal government has set as the minimum temperature required to kill all bacteria and denature viruses. Anything served at that temperature can technically come in contact with a bare hand, but can not transmit disease as long as it is at a homegenous temperature. For this reason it is not required that gloves be worn when serving coffee, and during the process of making it, little to no contact will be made between soiled hands and the finished product anyway. Long answer to a simple question, but I hope it answers peoples questions.
You need the advanced food hygiene by the CIEH and a professional trainers certificate also by the CIEH for more info go to the CIEH website
It depends on the jurisdiction you are in. You do NOT need a"basic food hygiene" [certificate] to e.g. replenish food stocks on a shelf in a supermarket, to sell prepackaged food behind a checkout till, to feed livestock/poultry, to pick fruit and vegetables for sale direct to the public or via a retail outlet or to work with food e.g. to offer to your family.
Of course!!!!! And make sure you wash your hands clean up to your elbows.
You can't. You just need to follow the guidelines for hygiene and get inspected.
Only if you are selling food to the public.
Food hygiene certificate
yes
Yes, because it will help you not to become ill and get serious diseases from the food you are eating. Without food safety you could cut yourself, make a fire, or hurt another person that is a bystander. Hygiene is extremely important for many of the same reasons. For instance, if you don't wash your hands after handling chicken you could kill someone!
An electric coffeepot is probably the easiest way to brew coffee. You also need coffee grounds - whatever variety you prefer - as well as filters. You will need water to pour through the coffee pot.
You do if you are doing it on a commercial basis.
Do not give a dog coffee, it has no food value and the dog does not need caffeine.
they need food to live
