if i remember correctly, it should be around 70 or 80 degrees, might want to look it up, i may be very off.

Fresh eggs to be used for eating should be kept in the refrigerator at 40 degrees F.

Fertile eggs being kept for hatching should be at 50F and a high humidity for no longer than 10 days.

Eggs freeze because they have a high water content. As the egg freezes, the shell will crack, and the yolk and white will mix and become very watery. That scenario is best avoided.

32 degrees F or lower without protection from the cold. Eggs have the same freezing point as water. If ice is being formed outside and the eggs are outside, then they will freeze.

Why do chicken eggs not freeze in a shell?

Chicken eggs do freeze in the shell. Freezing will cause the egg to expand and crack open. Frozen eggs in the shell change consistency and will not cook, taste or have the same texture as a fresh egg. Special preparation before freezing will render the eggs useable when they need to be frozen.

Can a hen overheat her eggs?

No, the eggs and the hen kind of go hand in hand. A chickens body temperature is 101-102ºF. That happens to also be the temperature that the eggs need to incubate at. Since the chicken cannot warm the eggs to a higher temperature than she is, the hen herself cannot overheat the eggs.

Can you freeze chicken eggs whole in the cartoon?

Can you freeze a whole chicken after you roast it?

Good question because there are some things you should know. Freezing a whole cooked chicken will not happen instantly. The hot or warm interior portions of the chicken will take longer to get do to a safe temperature. And when you thaw a whole frozen chicken you must do so in the refrigerator so you don't have the same temperature differential problem in the other direction. The solution? Cut your roast chicken up into its constituent parts. That is, cut off the wings, the drumsticks, the thighs and the breasts and freeze those separately. Then, when you want some chicken you can select the piece you want. If you have to freeze an entire roast chicken be aware of the issues mentioned above. Refreezing is not recommended.
