I think you mean "Cold is to frigid as what is to torrid?" In that case, the answer would be "hot".
Torrid is very hot so I don't know what could be hotter. Even sweltering and sultry are not as hot as torrid.
Zaire is located near the equator in Africa, so it falls primarily within the torrid zone. This means it experiences high temperatures and humidity throughout the year.
Intensely cold temperature is called frigid.
New York is in the temperate zone. It experiences four distinct seasons throughout the year –spring, summer, fall, and winter. The state has a varied climate with hot summers and cold winters, which is characteristic of the temperate zone.
A frigid climate is characterized by extremely cold temperatures for an extended period of time. These climates typically have harsh winter conditions with low average temperatures and limited plant and animal life adapted to survive in cold environments. Regions near the poles or at high altitudes often have frigid climates.
The word "frigid" suggests that the tundra is extremely cold, with temperatures often below freezing. It conveys a sense of harshness and inhospitability in the environment.
Tepid. Frigid is very very cold; torrid is very very hot.
Frigid
Frigid 🤔🤔😣
temperate zone
It is a temperate zone which means that the sun is not directly overhead, and we experience the four seasons with temperatures that range from cold to warm.
Zaire is located near the equator in Africa, so it falls primarily within the torrid zone. This means it experiences high temperatures and humidity throughout the year.
Tokyo is located in a humid subtropical climate zone, which is characterized by hot, humid summers and mild winters. It does not fall into the torrid, temperate, or frigid zones. Instead, it experiences a distinct four-season climate, with significant rainfall during the summer months.
Plants found in frigid zones include mosses, lichens, grasses, and small shrubs adapted to cold temperatures and short growing seasons. These plants are typically low-growing and hardy, able to survive in harsh conditions with minimal sunlight and nutrient availability. Examples include Arctic willow, Arctic poppy, and Arctic heather.
Arctic falls in the Frigid zone. The areas of the earth is divided in to zones viz torrid zone, frigid zone, temperate zone(both south and northern hemisphere) based on the amount of sunlight it receives. The presence of arctic is in such a way that it gets minimum sunlight compared to the torrid zone where the exposure to sunlight is maximum. Areas in torrid zone, temperate zones gets considerable amount of sunlight compared to frigid zone which makes arctic cold and thus leads to formation of ice from water bodies present in arctic. The same is applicable to both the poles of the earth arctic and antarctic. While the above is basically correct, it should be noted that these climate zone delineations (frigid, torrid, and temperate) were devised by the Greeks and are terribly simplistic (and very much antiquated) representations of the Earth's climate today!

Fear of the cold, as in "frigid"
