Animals can dig holes and can kick up dirt i guess, and when roots grow from plants they can grow into cracks in rocks and cause them to break apart. I dont know the second way for plants to move the surface materials.

What can represent eroding of Earth's surface?

Erosion of Earth's surface can be represented by processes such as weathering, mass wasting, and transport of sediments by water, wind, or ice. These processes gradually wear down rocks and other materials on the Earth's surface, reshaping the landforms over time.

What how materials is moved in areas where strong wind blow?

Materials in areas with strong winds can be moved through processes such as saltation or suspension. Saltation involves lighter particles being lifted and bounced along the surface by the wind, while suspension occurs when finer particles become airborne and travel with the wind. Both processes can lead to erosion and deposition in these windy environments.

What is the study of materials that make up earth and the processes that form and change materials?

The study of materials that make up Earth and the processes that form and change them is known as geology. Geology encompasses the study of rocks, minerals, soil, and natural resources, as well as the processes like erosion, plate tectonics, and volcanic activity that shape the Earth's surface. Geologists use various techniques to understand the history and composition of Earth's materials.

Solid inorganic materials that form naturally on or beneath earth's surface?

Minerals are solid inorganic materials that occur naturally on or beneath the Earth's surface. They are formed through geological processes and have a definite chemical composition and crystal structure. Minerals are the building blocks of rocks and play a crucial role in various earth processes.

Is there soil on Pluto?

There is no known evidence of soil on Pluto as soil typically refers to the top layer of Earth's surface composed of organic and inorganic materials. Pluto's surface is mostly covered in icy materials like nitrogen and methane.

By what process are surface materials removed and transported from one location to another?

Surface materials are typically removed and transported by erosion processes such as wind, water, ice, or gravity. These processes can break down materials and carry them away to be deposited in other locations. Erosion can result in the transportation of soil, sediment, rock, and other materials across landscapes.

What is another name for the dorsal surface?

another name for the dorsal surface in humans is posterior surface and for animals it is superior surface

What is surface adhesion?

Surface adhesion refers to the ability of molecules on the surface of a material to stick to another surface through intermolecular forces, such as van der Waals forces or hydrogen bonds. It is important in various processes, like painting, printing, or bonding materials together.

Briefly describe classification of manufacturing process?

The different classifications for manufacturing processes are casting processes, machining processes, surface finishing processes, metal working processes joining processes, and shearing and forming processes. The processes used to change the physical characteristics of materials are hardening and tempering.

What is geomorphic processes?

gemorphic processes are endogenic and exogenic forces which causes physical stresses and chemica reactions on the earth's materials and bring changes in the configuration of the earth's surface.

Are most of the surface materials in New York State be classified as transported materials?

Yes, most of the surface materials in New York State can be classified as transported materials, as they have been transported by natural processes such as glaciers, rivers, or wind. These materials often include sediments like sand, gravel, and boulders that have been deposited across the state over time.
