The Kashmir earthquake of 2005 lasted around 30 seconds. It was recorded to be the 14th most destructive in the world.

However, I felt it for over 2 minutes. I was taking a shower and I was able to dry myself, put on clothes, watch my bathroom wall crack -_-, open the door, run towards the stairs, then down, up again to grab my brother, down again and out. When I got out it still hadn't ended. and The 'roar' of the quake was HUGE!
