Gases in the atmosphere that trap solar energy are called?

Greenhouse Gasses

What happens when solar wind approaches earths atmosphere?

When solar wind approaches the earth's atmosphere a collision occurs. This creates light.

What do you understand by atmospheric stability How does the solar energy affect atmospheric stability and the visibility of the atmosphere?

QAMAR ABBAS ENVIRONMENTALIST GILGIT ASTORE Actually temperature decreases with altitude called as lapse rate, greater the lapse rate of atmosphere the more it will be unstable. Atmospheric stability is the resistance of atmosphere against the increasing lapse rate therefore we can say that colder the temperature at altitude the more unstable will be the atmosphere similarly the low lapse rate determines that the atmospheric stability. The environmental lapse rate is 9.8 C/Km. Solar radiation helps the atmosphere to remain stable because it heats up the gases near the land which subsequently rises while decreasing lapse rate so that it is said atmosphere in clear sunny day is more stable than cloudy one. The third portion of this question is related the visibility with the solar energy YES the solar energy increases the visibility of atmosphere by breaking the trapping of pollutants and dispersing them while increasing the shining of atmosphere as well.

The fuel driving the atmosphere is?

solar energy

What term is used to describe incoming solar radiation?

25% is absorbed by clouds.25% is reflected by clouds.45% is absorbed by the earth's surface.5% is reflected by the earth's surface. So 50% reaches the surface of the earth (But 5% of that is reflected).

What is the light that shines around the moon in a solar eclipse called?

The light around the moon is called the corona. It is the outermost portion of the sun's atmosphere. The corona is always present, but except during an eclipse it is hidden by the glare from the rest of the sun.

What is the outermost layer of sun known as?

The outermost layer of the Sun, if you mean the surface, is called the photosphere. If you mean in the atmosphere, it is called the chromosphere which can only be observed on the day of a solar eclipse. Beyond that there is a very tenuous layer called the corona. I think that's the "outermost layer".

What is the outermost part of the suns atmosphere?

The Corona I believe. You should check a diagram of the sun as well. The parts of the sun's atmosphere from the surface outward are the photosphere, the chromosphere, the corona, and the outer layers of the corona called the solar wind. The photosphere is the visible part of the Sun's atmosphere. The parts of the sun's atmosphere from the surface outward are the photosphere, the chromosphere, the corona, and the outer layers of the corona called the solar wind. The photosphere is the visible part of the Sun's atmosphere.the outer layer of the suns atmosphere is the coronathe outer layer of the suns atmosphere is the coronaThe outer mst part of the sun's atmosphere is called the corona.

What is the name of the outermost part of the sun that is only visible during a solar eclipse?

It is called corona. It's the outermost layer of the sun

What atmosphere that lies immediately above the layered atmosphere of the solar visual surface?

If you are referring to the Sun's atmosphere, this is called the solar corona.

What are the Large eruptions in the suns atmosphere?

Those are called solar flares.

What outermost layer of the sun's atmosphere?

corona. it is the hottest part of the sun that can be seen and glows brightly in the full UV spectrum, which is invisible. the solar core is hotter but can't be seen.

What is the layer of the earth's atmosphere ionized by solar radiation?

Not sure about it. But I remembered this layer of the atmosphere called the ionosphere or the thermosphere.
