a cold air mass comes in under a warm air mass
Normally, as the front approaches, you will have a storm. The cold air hitting warmer moist air will cause rain. After the front passes, you will experience clearing skies and drier, cooler air.
Typically you will see clouds and possibly some precipitation.
Winds whip in from the north, bringing colder drier air, and the clouds will clear out
Depending on the season a cold front often brings rain, snow, or thunderstorms followed by a drop in temperature.
Cold fronts usually move from northwest to southeast. When a cold front approaches, it brings with it colder, drier air. A strong cold front can push warm humid air out of the area.
the cold air mass runs into the warm air mass . But what remains the same is , the warm air mass still slides over the cold one because it is still less dense.
mild rains, darker clouds, more humidity.
There are several different types of fronts, a warm front and a cold front. What these fronts do mainly is effect the temperature, the one that normally brings the rain is the cold front, because the cold air is colliding with the warm air already in place. When a cold front passes over, it lowers the temperature, here's a picture of what this front looks like on a weather map: When a warm front passes over, it warms the temperature, but when a cold front comes through right after that, it can spark some severe weather, here's a picture on what this front looks like on a weather map:
Cold Front!
I'm pretty sure a cold front effects the weather by making the temperature go down and also it makes rain or a storm more likely
Cold air mass
1. A cold front is a type of weather that is denser, colder air that pushes in under warm air!2.cold fronts can bring rain, and precipitation.
Strong storms and severe weather like a Cold Front. It also brings about Cumulonimbus clouds.
A weather front can be a cold front, a warm front or an occlusion.
