I don't think that there are many people who still seriously believe that nowadays! Those who do, in the face of all factual proof to the contrary, probably find the idea of a round planet threatening for some reason, or cannot get their heads around the fact that in terms of physics, the smaller an entity is on a large circular surface, the flatter it will seem to them (a good analogy is that of a flea hopping across the surface of a hot-air balloon- the flea is so tiny in comparison to the size of the balloon, that it would not notice the curve in it's surface. And we are so very, very microscopic in comparison to the size of our planet). Other people may maintain the belief because they belong to arcane religions that dictate that the earth is flat.
Some people believe the Earth is flat due to mistrust in scientific consensus, misinformation, and conspiracy theories. Despite overwhelming evidence supporting Earth's spherical shape, flat Earth beliefs persist in some corners of the internet and society.
No one believed that the earth was flat in the 1600 it was a well know fact that the world was round. This myth that people used to believe that the world was flat didn't exsist before 1870-1920. The myth probably came to existance because it was way more intriguing that Colombus in a world where everyone thought was flat was the only one who believed it was round.
The main theories regarding the shape of the Earth are the oblate spheroid theory, which posits the Earth is mostly spherical but slightly flattened at the poles due to its rotation; the geoid theory, which describes the Earth as an irregular shape that approximates global mean sea level; and the flat Earth theory, a debunked belief that the Earth is flat and not a sphere.
Some people may believe the Earth is square due to misinterpretation of ancient beliefs or satire. However, scientific evidence and observations from space clearly show that the Earth is an oblate spheroid, not a square.
As far as current scientific understanding goes, the Earth was not made by people. The Earth formed about 4.5 billion years ago from gas and dust in the early solar system, gradually growing in size through the process of accretion and being shaped by geological processes like volcanic activity and plate tectonics.

Round. Most people by the time of Columbus did not believe the Earth was flat, despite what some history books will tell you.
The Flat Earth society consists of members who believe that the Earth is flat rather than an oblate spheroid. The group has been around since the 1960s. Some adherents are serious and some are not. Those who are serious are often motivated by pseudoscience or religious literalism.Check out their website: Flat Earth Society
The majority of the members of the Flat Earth Society do not believe the Earth is flat. They are members because it's a counter-culture group which some people find interesting. Those who think the Earth is flat are usually motivated by religious literalism.
Some people believe God created the Earth, others believe in the Big Bang theory.
Some people believe god made the earth and almost everything on it. But some people believe that we were made by something unknown.

Some people believe that; I Know I do
I totally believe some do
some people believe that God created the earth, and others believe that the Big Bang theory is right. people say it was jesus but not for sure.
Some people believe God made earth. Others believe gravity pulled earth's land together into a sphere.
Although some people believe in angels, there is no evidence that they walk the Earth.
