If people are honest and stick to laws and agreements it's easier to do business, and business tends to create more business.

If people can't be trusted, more deals will fall through and it'll be more difficult to do business.

If I'm a builder I can't do my work if the guy who promised to deliver the materials doesn't show up. If I don't pay him for materials he has delivered, he'll be out of money, etc etc.
