How would Turkey be a valuable member of the European Union?

Turkey is actually a current associate member of the European Union so it would not be a significant difference if it did join the EU. However, Turkey is a founding member of the Council of Europe, a large organization between almost all European countries. Turkey also boasts the 7th largest economy and 15th largest in the world, so you can see the economical benefits it brings. Its major and largest value though is that it would create stability for the East and West (of Europe and the world, especially Asia). Europe desperately needs help with stability and its major focus is on the East, so Turkey is basically the key to this situation. However, remember that each candidate comes with ups and downs.

Who is Europe's priminister?

As Europe isn't a country, it doesnt have a prime minister. The European Union (where 27 of the 50 European countries are member of) is led by the Portugese José-Manuel Barosso (he is chairman of the European Commission = daily government of the EU) and the Belgian Herman Van Rompuy (president of the European Council: a council consisting out of all heads of state or heads of government of the member states). Another European institution (not connected to the EU) is the Council of Europe, which has 47 members. It "is an international organisation promoting co-operation between all countries of Europe in the areas of legal standards, human rights, democratic development, the rule of law and cultural co-operation." (Wikipedia). Current leader is Thorbjørn Jagland (he's from Norway).
