A horn on a 1996 Saturn may not work due to several reasons, including a blown fuse, a faulty horn relay, or a malfunctioning horn itself. Additionally, issues with the steering wheel's horn switch or wiring connections can prevent the horn from functioning properly. Corrosion or damage to the wiring harness could also contribute to the problem. Diagnosing the specific issue typically requires checking these components systematically.
Usually the horn and cruise control go together because of the clock spring. It needs to be replaced and there is a recall for it.
I have this same problem. A broken shifter box. I will repost a fix as soon asap.
A horn might not work on a 1996 Honda Accord because of a blown fuse. There is also the possibility that the wire was cut or damaged. The horn is part of the security system. A used car might have the horn wire cut because the previous owner was annoyed by the horn blaring when someone came near the car.
it can be due to several reasons but it would be best if you take it to a repair shop to get it fixed.
It could be the relay or the fuse or the horn itself. Or, it could be all three!
You have a loose wire, blown fuse or a faulty horn.
horn will not stop honking on my 2004 pontica grand am
YOU HAVE ACTIVATED THE CARS ALARM,PUT YOUR KEY IN THE DRIVERS DOOR LOCK AND TURN IT TWICE TO THE RIGHT.
because its on fire
I have a Saturn 2001 300 L . The lights on the inside of car wont work.
Check obvious fuses, connections. Also the horn is operated by a momentary switch inside the horn button on the wheel, I would check for good clean contact. If it has an airbag, follow proper procedures to remove the cover. If you do remove it, build some jumpers to check continuity from the switch, to the connecter under the hood.
Check the fuse?
