I have been taking Alesse21 for the past four months now, and have always had a short but full period on the second day of my sugar pills. This month, I went to Hawaii for vacation (a 2 hour time difference from where I live) and calculated when to take my Birth Control accurately. I have never missed a pill and waited 7 days after I started the new pack (I switched up my schedule a little bit in order to accommodate my trip) before having intercourse. It is my third day on the sugar pills and still I have not begun to bleed. I have a few cramps yesterday, but no bleeding. What does this mean? Is it possible that I am pregnant?
Yes, it is possible for your period to be late or stop completely from any hormonal birth control.
Yes.
Hello there. Yes a period can be delayed if you have missed some of your birth control pills.
Your period may be late if you started the birth control patch a week late. If you had sex during that time, you may be at risk for pregnancy. Take a pregnancy test to be sure.
Yes, it is possible.
Yes, it can make your period late. You should expect it according to the type of birth control you're using. If you're not sure when, call the prescriber to ask for information specific to your situation.
NO it is not
The birth control pill will not stimulate or jump start your period. Talk to your health care provider if your period is more than three months late.
You need to consult a doctor and see why it's late. If you want to control your period birth control is the only way.
