What is Icbo in transistors?

Icbo (collector to base current when emitter is open) also called reverse saturation current as Is in reverse bias p-n junction diode.Regards

The acronyms for the three model buildings codes are?

BOCA, SBCCI, and, ICBO

What is the difference between common base emitter transistor and common base transistor?

Common base transistor if the emitter is open current Ie=0 but a small collector current thus exist.this current is reversed biased collector to the base voltage it is represented by Icbo while common emitter is d base terminal is open circuit and the base junction is reversed biased current Icbo flow from the tcollector to the emitter in the external circuit this current is called leakage current.

What are IBC building construction codes?

The International Conference of Building Officials publishes standards that they recommend for various types of construction. These folks are experts.Your local building department cannot do the research that these guys do. So, rather than coming up with their own building codes, they usually adopt standards written by either ICBO or another group of experts.check out http://www.iccsafe.org/Store/Pages/Category.aspx?cat=ICCSafe&category=330&parentcategory=Store%20Products

Source of leakage current in transistor?

* basic physics -- a voltage applied across a junction or an insulator will produce some current, no matter how small. No perfect insulator exists in electronics. * defects in manufacturers -- undesirable elements in a junction or an insulator, introduced during manufacturing and stay, will affect the normal current-voltage behavior * unintended usage -- the voltage or current applied to an electronic component has gone beyond its spec * damage -- the electronic component has suffered permanent damage due to excessive usage, abuse, or electrostatic discharge.

What is Pittsburghh joint in HAVC duct work?

Refer to the SMACNA reference for metal duct construction. The Pittsburg joint is used for most commonly fabricated metal retangular ducts. Most modern sheetmetal fabrication shops use a mechanized piece of equipment to create the Pittsbugh joint on one edge of the sheet metal that is being formed into a retangular duct. The Pittburgh joint is basically a series of bends in the sheetmetal that create a female joint that will accept the male end of the rectangular duct. The female joint includes an extended section of sheet metal that is mechanically or manually hammered over the male edge of the sheet metal once it is positioned within the Pittsburgh joint. It is much easier to understand when viewing a piece of flat piece of sheet metal that is being formed into a section of duct with a mechanized piece of equipment found in most sheet metal shops. I have created a Pittsburgh joint with a manual hand break for specialized duct fittings. I hope the information has been helpful. Ralph Pimentel C.B.O.
